    Side Door Deli is under New Ownership as of Sept. 2018! New Owners are Real Native New Yorkers giving they're New St. Pete Neighbors a true NY Style Deli Experience please stop by and try our Delicious Classic Reuben's, Hot Breakfast's, Homemade Soup's, Salad's, Burger's, Dessert's and Our New Falafel and Chicken Shawarma Platter's!

    Loved the tuna salad and Matzo Ball Soup. In particular that soup is 100% good. I wish I lived closer.
    The place is bare bones, barely clean but who cares.
    Prices are great. Very affordable full deli menu. Did I mention ---Matzo Ball Soup??.
    Kind of s crappy location- I was just driving by and stopped.

    Don't blink or you'll miss it...

    We just moved to St Pete a few months ago and are literally blocks from here... I found it exploring the neighborhood.

    Recently decided to stop by for breakfast and was not disappointed. The young lady waiting tables was warm and friendly; she got me coffee and gave me a few minutes with the menu.

    Craving good deli I went straight for the three egg omelette with pastrami, fried potatoes and marble rye ($7.25). I also added Swiss cheese to the omelette.

    The food came up quickly and was hot and flavorful; you could taste the pastrami and there was plenty inside the omelette... potatoes were roasted and flavorful. The marble the was just OK, I miss good NY "chewy" rye bread.

    The menu shows real promise for return visits - I told the server that if they had whitefish and chopped liver I'd be moving in... she jokingly reminded me that they deliver.

    Great service, tasty well prepared food and hot coffee... I'm sold

    Oh. My. Gosh. The corned beef reuben was so so so perfect: as in, EXACTLY what you are imagining when you order it. Perfectly toasted, generous portions of meat, fresh, and hot.

    I am particularly picky when it comes to 'salads' (i.e. tuna salad, egg salad, potato salad etc.) and every one I've ordered from here I have loved. They only needed a little bit of salt and the flavor was precisely what I wanted.

    The iced tea is fresh and brewed strong, just the way you want.

    The chicken soup is delicious and really feeds the soul like the comfort food you expect it to.

    We live nearby and have passed it a million times, so glad we decided to finally go in, truly a hidden gem that we will be visiting again and again.

    what a classic place. simple menu and good home style food. inexpensive and hot. the area is not great, but a perfect compliment for a quick bite to eat. I'll be back.
